Tsilíkos

I've eaten my fair share of Gyros from most of the Greek Islands and also the UK; this is quite simply the best of the lot! The stand-out points for me are as follows: The charred flavour of the meat and also the pita. The level of smokiness was perfect. Just enough bite from the bbq to taste the charring, but not enough to overpower the meat. The smokiness is also imparted onto the pita as well which takes the whole gyros to the next level. The softness and freshness of the pita. Often in gyros, the pita isn't fresh and is sometimes a bit dry, not here. It is soft and full of flavour. The moistness of the meat. Not dry or overcooked, the meat is full of flavour and juicy. If you want an amazing portion of authentic Gyros, then head to Tsilikos. There aren't many tables outside but it is definitely worth a visit. It is rare to find quality this good, and when you do, it is worth such a mention.

Came here while being on vacation. Delicious and not expensive. Highly recommend! Bought pita bread with fries and chicken souvlaki. Price 3 euros. Can eat at the table or take away. /edit edit edit :) Came back here for third time on my week vacation. Food is delicious, all ingredients are fresh and tasty. Cooks are masterschefs at their work! Service girls are charming and very helpful. Tsilikos beats of all restaurant's menu with the simplicity and taste of street food. Love that place! Excellent food and lovely people! We visited Tsilikos as a local friend recommended us on our holiday. They’re amazing in every perspective! We’re keeping coming back for more.This charming little restaurant really knows what Greek hospitality is.From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The menu offers a fantastic variety of traditional Greek dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We started with souvlaki and the tzatziki, which was creamy and full of flavor. We have tried a variety of food and everything was delicious. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their food and culture. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and even shared some wonderful stories about the local area and traditions. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. Tsilikos is a must-visit for anyone in Lixouri looking for an authentic Greek dining experience. We can’t wait to return on our next visit to this beautiful town! Bravo, Tsilikos!
